Kalisto 9 was launched in 2013 and ran until 2015. It was actually the indirect result of the launching of Cailen’s Sweetshoppe for our daughter. I liked the CMS system I chose for her site and I decided to design a version for Kalisto. Kalisto 9 was based on the ZenPhoto CMS and marked the first version where the core site featured dynamic content (forums and other features already did, but Kalisto itself was statically coded up until this point). I loved how I could simply upload a directory structure with images and other media and the CMS would automatically create categories, albums, and sub-albums accordingly the next time the site was loaded in a browser – that is one feature I do sorely miss.
