This was a suprisingly complex series given its target audience. It is both light-hearted and serious and blends the two well. It also covers emotions and scenarios that are/were quite taboo in American animation. This is evedent in the butchered iteration of this series aired in the USA. Do yourself a favor: Watch the original Japanese version.

: This one took a long time. I finally decided on Sakura activating the “WATERY” Clow Card. And as you can see, Watery is in the background.

: Here we have Sakura and Kero along with a sketch of them on a torn piece of notebook paper. The paper isn’t scanned, but made by hand in Photoshop…

The Kalisto name originated in 1997 as a location in a graphics calculator RPG game I wrote in high school called Mystic Realm.

Kingdom of Kalisto launched on September 21, 2001.

The kingdomofkalisto.com domain was established in 2013. Prior to that, the domain was kalistoanime.com.

The first version of Kingdom of Kalisto was written in Microsoft Word 2000.

In its beginning, Kalisto was hosted on a Pentium III 500MHz PC running Windows 98.
